No, Mr Wang Didn't Doctor This Photo ....

... the walls of NKF were really defaced. I took this photo from the Straits Times Interactive.

For the benefit of the non-Chinese readers of Commentary Singapore, Mr Wang would like to explain that the Chinese characters spray-painted on the wall mean FRAUDSTER

U havent seen the pics in The New Paper yet. There are even calls to "Hang Turi" (I think Turi = Durai), which is over the top...

I like the "duah pian xian" though... lol

hello, thank you for pointing out the situation that occured during Hitler's reign.

Which would bring me to the conclusion that there IS something wrong with the nation, seeing how the youths are not rooted here, culturally or otherwise.

Being a kid myself, it is a matter of concern. By building I did not mean through propaganda, or campaigns. Yes, it has to be spawned naturally from within the person, that I agree with. The thing is, how? Compared with other nations, we have neither much of a history behind us, nor a culture expressly unique to all Singaporeans.

So... what would you suggest?

Mr Wang is a perpetual fountain of good suggestions.

In a post soon to appear on Commentary Singapore, I will address the issue of national pride.

Actually, I believe the issue was not the salary per se but the ostentatious flaunting of it, such as the gold taps, the Mercedes s600 (i think) and flying first class here and there... I'm sure if Durai was driving an average middle class car, lived in a moderate sized terrace or semi-d, while traveling business class, the uproar wouldn't have been as much.

Strange and sad that a man with such an uncommon salary should have so little common sense. Would anyone really have cared if he had closed one eye against those who complained about him travelling first class? I don't believe so.

Aiyah why must people vandalise property? Such a rubbish way to retaliate. As if NKF is not humiliated enough as it is.

I'm wondering also if Mr Goh is speaking to his wife.

Lesson learnt: never give quotes to ST media.

lol.
